Le village de Bastelica qui domine la vallée du Prunelli, culmine à 800 mètres d’altitude.
La commune a connu au 19e siècle une période de grande prospérité démographique et économique. En effet dans les années 1940 plus de 4000 habitants vivaient alors à Bastelica, le paysage et l'architecture témoignent encore d’activités importantes. Tout au long de la ballade vous serez amenés à découvrir la place prépondérante qu’occupait le village à l’époque, au sein du territoire. Ce proverbe en témoigne « Sé Bastèlica t'avia u portu, Aiacciu ni saria l'ortu. Si Bastelica avait un port, Ajaccio en serait le jardin ».
Le parcours débute sous le regard de Sampiero Corso, face à l’église paroissiale Saint Michel.
Il passe d’abord par plusieurs jardins, autrefois cultivés puis traverse le Prunelli pour se diriger vers le sentier du Tinosu, ancien chemin de transhumance entouré de somptueuses châtaigneraies ou nous pourrons découvrir le Moulin de Travitacci.
La seconde partie du sentier se faufile dans les ruelles bastelicaises, sur le chemin, le promeneur sera sous le charme de l’architecture qui l’entoure, témoin de l’histoire de Bastelica et de ses origines agropastorales : des vergers, des fours, des fontaines et autres pierres gravées.
A travers cette randonnée au cœur du village, vous vous imprégnerez des modes de vie passés, des liens tissés entre l’homme et l’environnement.
